Life at home is multifaceted. We developed an augmented reality app for making better spaces for all the things we do there.
Home is under pressure. At least when it comes to our demands for what they should offer and accommodate in daily life. Work moved home during the pandemic and many private spaces now double as part-time workplaces. Some families now prefer to stay small and central, rather than sizing up outside the city limits.
For multiple reasons, we see a growing need to optimise every square inch of our homes. How can we achieve this? Not everyone has interior design skills. Yet.
A virtual look at your future space
Studio is an AR-powered interior design app that lets anyone get creative — and practical — when it comes to shaping the optimal interior solutions for their home.
The app captures a 3D plan of your space, complete with windows, doorways and any existing furniture, which it automatically detects via a smartphone camera. From there, you can browse and place new furniture, shelving systems, and lighting, and experiment with how everything will look via your phone’s screen. You can even virtually test different paint colours.
When everyone designs
With emphasis on a smooth and user-friendly interface, Studio turns the often complicated task of imagining new interiors into a fun and inspiring experience. For many people, using Studio will be the first time their space is designed for their exact needs — and a first important step towards a better home and a better everyday life.
