Community Talk: Feminist Internet
We are delighted to hand over our stage to Clara Finnigan, the Co-founder of Feminist Internet, who will host an evening about inequality on the internet.
‘There is no feminism. Only possible feminisms. There is no internet. Only possible internets” — that’s how Feminist Internet greets their website visitors. Even though the internet holds huge potential for liberation and political transformation, many of society’s inequalities are encoded in its structures, processes and communities that mirror the reality we live in. On December 5, Co-Founder Clara Finnigan will introduce Feminist Internet and their work thus far, and together with the audience she will open up for a discussion about technofeminism, queer spaces, womxn’s anger, voice technology, and good design for feminism.
We hope to see you at our space!
About Feminist Internet
Feminist Internet is a non-profit organisation founded by a group of multidisciplinary artists, writers and makers who seek to advance internet equality for women and other marginalised groups through creative, critical practice. Topics such as online abuse on digital platforms, lack of diversity within tech enterprises or biased algorithms are just a few components of their agenda.
