Beyond Borders Summit

Copenhagen, SPACE10 09:00 - 17:00 CET 06.09.18

Cities are dynamic, creative, and always evolving. What if embraced those values as a way to think of alternative solutions to global challenges?

Potentially, this approach could help us redefine how we think about migration—something that’s probably the biggest challenge (and opportunity) for cities around the globe. Indeed, we believe in the potential of using the internet and emerging technologies more artistically to embrace the complexity of migration. What if that mindset could empower citizens to imagine and take creative approaches to build a better future?

In the BEYOND BORDERS Summit, we explore the role that arts and the internet can play in shaping better futures for cities when it comes to migration. By combining alternative perspectives, we aim to foster a more holistic, critical and long-term approach to the changing nature of the city and the people in it.

Part of Copenhagen Techfestival

From September the 5th until the 9th, Techfestival will bring together 16,000 people in Copenhagen’s Meatpacking District to explore new, progressive and human answers to technology’s developments and applications. They have invited more than 300 experts and organizers from around the globe to co-create the program and activities. They have been challenged with creating intimate settings for participation and real talk which will hopefully drive tangible outcomes that can inform people who work with digital development.

Food

Wednesday, Thursday and Friday you will be able to buy an inexpensive lunch at the festival’s main area in the Meatpacking district. The lunch will be available from 11.30 am to 1 pm, but with a limited amount of servings. On Saturday, September 8, the lunch will be available at H15 (Halmtorvet 15).
